Eligibility & Participation
The A.E.R. Summer Showcase is open to players of all ages and skill levels. All participants must maintain an active DUPR rating and register in the division that accurately reflects their current competitive ability.
Singles divisions include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0–4.5+ Men’s Moneyball. Men’s and Women’s Doubles divisions include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5+ Men’s Moneyball. Mixed Doubles divisions include 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, and 4.5 Mixed Moneyball.
A.E.R. enforces a strict competitive integrity policy. Sandbagging, intentional misrepresentation of skill level, or registering below one’s true level is prohibited. Tournament officials reserve the right to verify DUPR ratings, review player history, and reassign participants to the division deemed most appropriate.
To maintain competitive balance and operational efficiency, A.E.R. reserves the right to combine, modify, or restructure divisions based on registration volume or event needs. Once registration reaches capacity, additional players may be placed on a waitlist and admitted only if openings become available.
Payout Structure
Moneyball Payout Structure
The AER Summer Showcase features a $10,000 ($9,999.99 exact amount) guaranteed Moneyball purse across eligible Moneyball divisions. Payouts are guaranteed and awarded to the top three finishers in each qualifying bracket.

Payouts apply to the following Moneyball divisions:

For singles divisions, payout amounts are paid at the individual equivalent listed above.
The total guaranteed Moneyball purse is $9,999.99 .Payout amounts are rounded to the nearest cent and may vary by a nominal amount in aggregate.
All participants must maintain accurate DUPR ratings. Sandbagging, misrepresentation of skill level, or eligibility violations may result in disqualification and forfeiture of prize money.
AER Pickleball reserves the right to combine Moneyball divisions if registration numbers are low. If divisions are combined, payout structures may be adjusted accordingly while preserving the guaranteed purse commitment.
Liability & Disclaimers
Liability & Waiver Agreement
By registering for and participating in the A.E.R. Summer Showcase, all participants acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms, conditions, and liability provisions set forth in the official event waiver.
Participation in the event constitutes full acceptance of all waiver terms, including but not limited to the assumption of risk, release of liability, medical authorization, and participant conduct requirements. It is the responsibility of each participant to review the waiver in its entirety prior to registration.

Weather & Registration Protection Terms
AER Weather & Registration Protection Terms and Conditions
The AER Weather & Registration Protection Plan (“Protection Plan”) is an optional add-on available at checkout for $15.00 per participant. The Protection Plan is a contractual refund benefit offered solely by AER Pickleball and is not insurance, is not underwritten by any insurance company, and is not regulated as an insurance product.
By purchasing the Protection Plan, participants agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. General Terms
The Protection Plan applies only to the individual participant who purchased it and is non-transferable.
For doubles events, each player must purchase Protection individually to receive Protection Plan benefits.
The Protection Plan fee itself is non-refundable under all circumstances.
All refunds issued under this Protection Plan exclude non-refundable registration platform fees, processing fees, and transaction fees charged by third-party registration providers.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method unless otherwise determined by AER Pickleball.
2. Pre-Tournament Withdrawal Protection
Participants who purchase the Protection Plan may withdraw from the tournament for any reason and receive a full refund of tournament registration fees, less all non-refundable platform, processing, and transaction fees, provided the withdrawal request is received by AER Pickleball no later than 7:00 AM local time on the tournament date for the participant’s scheduled division.
All withdrawal requests must be submitted by email to withdrawal@aersports.pro.
To be considered valid, the withdrawal request must include:

The effective time of withdrawal shall be determined solely by the timestamp of the incoming email, regardless of when AER Pickleball reviews or responds to the request.
Incomplete withdrawal requests may be delayed, denied, or treated as a no-show at AER Pickleball’s sole discretion.
3. No-Show Protection
A no-show occurs when a participant fails to appear for their scheduled division without submitting a valid withdrawal request before the 7:00 AM deadline.
Participants who purchased the Protection Plan and are classified as a no-show are eligible for a 50% refund of tournament registration fees, less all non-refundable platform, processing, and transaction fees.
No documentation is required for No-Show Protection.
Participants who attempt to withdraw after the 7:00 AM deadline will remain subject to No-Show Protection only.
4. Weather Cancellation Protection
If AER Pickleball cancels tournament play due to rain, lightning, unsafe court conditions, or other severe weather before tournament play officially begins at 8:00 AM on a participant’s scheduled match day, all registered participants in the affected division will receive a full refund of tournament registration fees, less all non-refundable platform, processing, and transaction fees, regardless of whether the Protection Plan was purchased.
Once tournament play has officially begun at 8:00 AM on a participant’s scheduled match day, no refunds will be issued for weather-related interruptions or cancellations unless the participant purchased the Protection Plan.
Participants who purchased the Protection Plan and whose division is cancelled after tournament play has begun will receive:

100% refund if cancellation occurs before the participant completes their first match.

50% refund if cancellation occurs after the participant has completed at least one match but fewer than three matches.

No refund if the participant has completed three or more matches.

Weather delays, shortened formats, modified scoring, merged divisions, or schedule changes made in good faith to complete tournament play do not constitute cancellation.
5. Illness or Injury During Tournament Play
Participants who purchased the Protection Plan and become unable to continue due to illness or injury after tournament play begins may be eligible for:

50% refund if the participant has completed fewer than three matches.

No refund if the participant has completed three or more matches.

AER Pickleball reserves the right to request reasonable supporting information if fraud, abuse, or bad-faith conduct is reasonably suspected.
6. Partner No-Show Protection
If a doubles participant appears ready to compete but their registered partner fails to appear, and AER Pickleball cannot provide a substitute partner or otherwise reasonably accommodate participation, the present participant will receive a full refund of tournament registration fees, less all non-refundable platform, processing, and transaction fees, provided the present participant purchased the Protection Plan.
7. Tournament Adjustments and Event Authority
AER Pickleball reserves the right to modify tournament formats, reduce match lengths, combine divisions, adjust scoring, reschedule play, or otherwise alter event operations as reasonably necessary for player safety, fairness, or tournament completion. Such operational adjustments do not constitute cancellation and do not trigger Protection Plan refunds.
8. Abuse Prevention and Administrative Discretion
AER Pickleball reserves the sole right to interpret, administer, and enforce these Terms and Conditions.
Any attempt to misuse, manipulate, or exploit the Protection Plan, including but not limited to strategic withdrawals, intentional forfeitures, fraudulent representations, or bad-faith conduct, may result in denial of refund eligibility.
AER Pickleball’s decisions regarding refund eligibility shall be final, subject only to applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, AER Pickleball, AER Sports Management LLC, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and venue partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of tournament cancellation, participant withdrawal, schedule changes, weather interruptions, or administration of this Protection Plan.
10. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the AER Weather & Registration Protection Plan, tournament registration, or administration of these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, and all participants expressly consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
